No one can take it to the top like VARSITY,
the hottest new boy band on the music
scene. They formed about a year and
a half ago and have been using their
individual talents to develop into one
perfect group. The five members are
Bobby Edner, Jayk Purdy, Thomas Fiss,
Drew Ryan Scott and David Lei Brandt.
I spoke with Thomas, Jayk and Drew
who were excited to promote their songs
on tour this summer . Zero, a fun and
extremely energetic pop song was the
first to be released digitally. Jayk said,
"We've been getting some awesome
feedback about it." It's no wonder be-
cause the song is pure pop energy with
a techno vibe. Maybe This Is Love and
Complicated Girl show their versatility
as a group and their harmonies blend
perfectly. Thomas said, "We harmonize
very well together. We are a more ad-
vanced version of the boy bands of the
past. We learned from them and took
it to the next level." Writing their own
songs are definitely a plus and also
having talents like Ryan Tedder will
only enhance their success. They
work very hard , practicing six hours
a day perfecting their dance moves.

dance teacher that traveled across
