Rod Black has a poetic soul and the vision that connects
him to everyone through his music. Rod's Dad recognized
that vision and with his Father's inspiration , The Rod Black
Band was born. Rod was the front man for Jet Black Stare
who had the stadium anthem Ready to Roll and a loyal
following. After a tough decision to dismantle JBS Rod
is now ready to follow his musical path with RBB.
Rod Black Band is more country rock. Rod said, "I'm a
rocker but my roots are very country." He is able to have
more freedom with this band than he had with JBS. He is
bringing more harmonies, not so heavy on the guitar and
definitely a more southern vibe. RBB did a limited release
of With You, a good old drinking song this summer and
because of the great response it had, Rod said it will
definitely be on the album. Rod has a diverse catalog of
songs that will satisfy any musical palette. Honesty is a
mid tempo ballad about being away from loved ones,
Midnight Highway about the journey on the road, and
a very special song that he wrote with his Dad, Good
Old Life about being appreciative for all of the moments
in life. Rod said, "We're gonna pick the best ones that
really fit the emotions of what we're trying to portray"

Rod co-wrote the songs for the debut album, with
songwriter/producer Jeff Johnson. The drummer
from Jet Black Stare,Dan Swinimer is producing the
upcoming album. Rod feels very lucky with his new
band mates. Bryan Chamberlan plays Guitar and
Backing Vocals, Steven G. Knight plays Bass and
Chris Baker is the drummer. He said, "We've got some
really good guys on board that believe in me and I
believe in them." They are doing a video for
Let You Go and should be doing a tour soon.
Rod said, " We will be doing heavy touring in the
new year." The Rod Black Band will take you on an
emotional journey. Make sure to catch them on tour .
